I am Nash, 25 years of age and counting. I am a pure - blooded Filipino. I was born and raised in the Philippines for 19 years and is now living in Canada. I am a College student wanting to pursue Communication Studies. My goal is to finish my degree and come home to The Philippines to live and work there for good. I am the vocalist of the band Headcakes, a local Filipino Variety band from Edmonton. I have been singing and performing all my life, but writing is my passion ever since I was little.
This is me and my everyday life as a struggling artist. Join me as I try to search for the true meaning of my existence.
What a successful event! I would like to extend my warmest thanks to all the people who took part in this history making function! Jam For A Cause: A Benefit Concert For Northern Mindanao raised more or less $4000 (PHP 170,000.00) which we will give to TSADA Edmonton (Association of Cagayanos) and to ABS - CBN Foundation to help the thousands of families affected by the typhoon Sendong last year. I know it’s not a lot of money, but hey, we made a difference. :)
As most of you guys know, I listen to a lot of music and I like all genres. That’s why I have a lot of favorite songs.
Today we’ll go country, as I (and youtube) give you one of my favorite country artists, Keith Urban and his best live performance of You’ll Think of Me, one of my favorite country songs (see, I said favorite too much!)
Side dish: Most people (specially guys my age) think country music’s not on their taste (except for some Taylor Swift I think) but I suggest y’all to listen to this first, maybe spend a couple of minutes listening to this song, it’s meaning and the whole performance perse and tell me what you think, ok? :)
I recently opened for Parokya ni Edgar’s concert here in Edmonton last Friday night. I must say that would be one of the most memorable moments in my life to date. Never have I imagined even opening for them so it was a pleasure.
I also got to see them after the concert and they were really nice, specially Chito, Darius and Buwi. Too bad I can’t upload pictures of the after party. It’s best to keep it privately in my hands. <3
I remember when Buhawi bid goodbye to us I told him to keep writing music. Suddenly he came back and gave me two high fives. He was proud.
At the end of the day, Parokya ni Edgar is legendary.
